It is also the largest object that has not been visited by a spacecraft. Ideas has been measured at 2326 + 12 km in diameter. It's a mass is 0.27 percent of the Earth mass and 27% more than dwarf planet Pluto though Pluto is slightly larger by volume. Eris is a trans Neptunian object ( TNO ) and a member of a high eccentricity population known as the scattered disk. It has one known Moon, Dysnomia.
With the exception of some long period comets and till 2018 discovered on December 17, 2018 Eris and Dysonomia were the most distant known natural object in the solar system.
